Boys 1st XI Football Team Through To The Semis In The ISFA Trophy

31 Jan

Many congratulations to the Boys 1st XI Football team on a dramatic Quarter Final penalty shoot-out win in the Independent Schools Football Association’s U18 Trophy.

Having overcome Mill Hill School in their first-round match 8-1, the team were delighted to progress to the Quarter Final after a walkover against Oswestry School.

On Tuesday 29 January, they played a strong Chigwell School side away, in an evenly matched cup game. Both teams had good spells of possession, but the game finished in a 0-0 draw. That meant a penalty shoot-out where Theo Coles made two cracking saves on his birthday, which took the team into the Semi Final for the second year running.

They will now face King’s Chester on Wednesday 5 March.

A huge well done to them all!
