Princethorpe Hosts Warwickshire Schools' Cross Country

20 Jan

The Warwickshire Schools' County Cross Country Championships took place at Princethorpe College on Saturday 18 January. 32 Princethorpe runners competed against the best cross-country specialists from 28 schools across Warwickshire in what is always a well contested event.

All the cross-country training paid dividends with another good set of results. Congratulations to Lily Hunter who finished 4th in the Inter Girls, Evie Marston who was 5th in the Senior Girls and Felix Batty and Ben Smith who were 4th and 5th respectively in the Senior Boys race.

In terms of team placings, Princethorpe finished 2nd in the Senior Boys’ race, 4th in the Minor and Junior Girls’ races, 5th in the Junior Boys’ race and 6th in the Minor Boys’ race. A huge well done to everyone who took part.

We had nearly 200 runners and their supporters at Princethorpe on Saturday, and we hope you all enjoyed pitting your cross-country running skills against the College’s tough hilly course.
