Brilliant Benet Victorious In The House Cup

02 Apr

Benet House is celebrating after winning the most hotly contested competition in school, the House Cup.

Their victory was announced by House Activities Co-ordinator, Meg O’Gorman, in the Prefect Inauguration ceremony yesterday afternoon. The House Cup was presented to the outgoing Benet House Captains, Ben and Kaena, as jubilant Benet pupils cheered across the school.

As always, the House Cup was a close run affair with just five points between this year's winners Benet and second place More. Across the year, pupils had participated enthusiastically enjoying all the events, including exciting new ones such as House Bench Ball and House Archery.

It was a steady and consistent performance that helped Benet pupils amass their huge total of points and finish first this year. The final placings were: 1st Benet, 2nd More, 3rd Fisher and 4th Austin.

In the assembly the outgoing House Captains surprised Ms O'Gorman with flowers to say thank you for her tireless energy and ingenuity in respect of House activities.

Our thanks go to the whole House team, including the House Activities Leaders (Mrs White, Mrs Wilford, Mr Walters and Mrs Chard) and the House Captains for all they do to organise and run House events.
