School Of Rock Raised The Roof

10 Feb

Our College’s Musical Theatre Group production of School of Rock was superb. The Clarkson was filled full of energetic rock songs as audiences enjoyed the hilarious musical.

School of Rock told the story of Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into an amazing rock band and eventually manages to get them to the Battle of the Bands.

School of Rock was filled with rock songs that raised the roof and was testimony to the transforming power of music. It was a brilliant show, full of vibrant energy and enthusiasm and we are all humming along to the songs after what was a most entertaining and enjoyable performance.

Congratulations to everyone involved, on stage and behind the scenes and especially to the Directors, Mr Cowlishaw and Ms Newborough. We are now all looking forward to the Trinity Term and the College’s first ever summer musical for the Lower School!
