U12 Girls Crowned Midlands Regional Hockey Champions

The U12 Girls Hockey team showcased exceptional skill and determination as they were crowned Midlands Regional Hockey Champions.

In the group stage, the team demonstrated their dominance, securing victories against Newcastle Under Lyme (2-0), Repton (2-1), Leicester Grammar School (3-0), Wrekin College (5-0), and Bromsgrove (2-0), while being held 0-0 by Wellingborough. Their impressive performance ensured qualification for the semi-finals.

The semi-final clash against Denstone was a tense encounter, but a well-executed goal saw the team emerge 1-0 winners, booking their place in the final. In a thrilling rematch against Repton School, the girls held their nerve to secure a 1-0 victory, clinching the championship title.

Head of Girls' Games, Carly Walton, commented "Winning the U12 Midlands Hockey Regional Tournament is testament to the teams demonstration of Pride, Presence and Perseverance. The team showcased excellence, conceding just one goal all day and securing a well-earned victory against a talented Repton side in the final. A truly outstanding achievement!"
