Remote Learning
Remote Education is provided using Microsoft Teams as the core learning platform.
In the event of whole classes or year groups requiring access to remote education:
- Teachers will set an online meeting via the class Team, and register pupils and teach all or part of the lesson through the online meeting.
- Teachers will ensure tasks to be completed are set as an Assignment on Teams
- Teachers will be online throughout the lesson to respond to questions and provide support, via an online meeting or through chat.
- Teachers will provide individual online feedback as appropriate, and at least once per fortnight for longer periods of remote education.
- Students should ensure that they attend all online meetings and complete all Assignments set.
- Students must ensure that the Online Meetings Policy is followed at all times during remote education and that conduct is appropriate.
In the event of an individual or small group requiring access to remote education while the rest of the class access the lesson in school:
- Where possible, Teachers will set an online meeting via the class Team so that remote pupils can access the physical lesson remotely.
- Teachers will always ensure an Assignment is set on Teams for pupils accessing the lesson remotely, with the relevant work and resources.
- Teachers will respond live to remote pupils where possible. This will not always be possible due to the demands of teaching the class in school, in which case teachers will respond after the lesson.
